Black macbook update

Hello

can anyone tell me what I need to buy in order to up grade my old black mac book. It is the earlier black mac which I understand can only take a 1+1 gb upgrade. What I want to know is which are the best/cheapest products to buy in order to upgrade the memory/hard drive to 1+1gb/500gb.
