Too cool!

Just out of curiosity, what happens to your little folder icon friends if and when you boot into Safe Boot Mode???

I am assuming they would disappear or not be available if they were part of some third-party application.

Patrick, it was Stacks, which is not a third party but part of the OS that created the issue, so even in Safe Mode it would still be the same.

Thanks Jake, I guess I should have been reading more carefully rather than trying to do some income tax.

I can't remember ever enjoying using Stacks, or at least getting them to work the way I would want, but maybe I never got all the options organized properly and basically ended up using aliases that just work like a good old-fashioned normal pop-up Finder folder the way I want them to. ;)

Patrick, Stacks never made sense to me, either. Not a lot of settings to adjust. Just seemed a weird way to display things. But I guess some folks like it and use it, even if they are all in Cupertino.

I am glad to read that Jake, and it's nice that I don't feel I am not doing something wrong.

It doesn't seem that long ago that some previous egotistical member whose name shall not be repeated here would often criticize me and others for not knowing how or to use Stacks properly, he of course was an expert and felt they were one of the best things since sliced bread. Yeah right...

It's very nice that some things change sometimes...
