Battery preservation

Hey all i am going to be traveling to vegas here in a couple weeks, my question is, should i just take dvd's along with me or should i put them on my hard drive. The reason i ask is because i want to know which well use more battery, running it off of the harddrive or using the disk drive. Thanks in advance

dvd onto hd is a better , and quieter option IMO
