[QUOTE="tyfrist, post: 1301678, member: 216254"] Hey guys new here I have some computer-work background but not a whole lot so i have a lot of questions. Sorry for the length. I gave you guys my problems and my possible solutions but I appreciate the help. I have a 13" aluminum unibody Macbook from late 2008-2009. I have had a clicking hard drive for a while and it's starting to get worse so I'm going to back up my stuff and get a new harddrive and I've had the battery for a long time so I need to get a new one as well. Problems: 1. My computer freezes when I try to access my applications. So i'm assuming that part of my hard drive is corrupt so I won't be able to transfer everything over. Sometimes when i open the computer it clicks as well and my computer is frozen and sometimes that affects the computer for a while and i have to reboot my computer several times for it to not freeze. So in order to not transfer over any corrupt files i think I might just transfer music and movies and start from scratch on everything else. What do you think? 2. My battery life is about 1 1/2 hours long right now. 3. I have an external hard drive that i can transfer things to. It has stuff from my roommate though who has a sony VAIO computer and I've never put anything on there just taken stuff off of it from him. Solutions: 1. I plan on getting a hard drive, this one in fact... I like the 7200 rpm and 500Gb. Also these other two seem good to me..
