Backup 3 + Security

Can someone tell me how secure backup 3 is? i.e. if someone nicked my external hard drive - what would they need to restore the files - just the admin password?

If someone steals your external hard drive everything you have on it is at risk.

If backups to the external HD contain sensitive information, the best way to protect the drive is to lock it up when it's not in use.
