Hi all,

I have recently bought MacBook Pro 15" and a small amp for my head phone.
So I connect the amp and set up the Audio MIDI to use the amp as an output source. Also changed the Format as 96000.0Hz ; 2ch-24bit Integer.
However, for some reason the format changes back to 44100.0 Hz; 2ch-24bit Integer.
And when I don't use the headphone and just connect my external speaker to my mac, I also set up the format as 96000.0 Hz ; 2ch-32bit Float (I just assumed 2ch-32bit generates better sound compare to 24bit Integer, no?) but it automatically changes back to 44100.0 Hz ; 2ch-24bit Integer.

So whether I connect my amp or my speaker to my Mac and changes the set up for Audio MIDI, it keeps changes back..
Anyone has any idea?

Thank you in advance.

Cheers

Your Mac's Specs
15" MBP, 2.5GHz i7, 750GB, 6770M 1GB, iPad 3, iPhone 4, custom PC
can your amp handle 96 KHz and 32 bit resolution? i know my mbox cannot do 32 bit for example... if its a cheap amp im probably guessing it cant.
