arranging icons in finder -

I just got my new iMac. It seems whenever open finder or a folder the icons are just kinda "scattered" around. I have go up and click arrange by name to get them to line up. I shouldn't have to do it every time I open a folder. Once I arrange them, they should stay arranged...yes?

Yes. You can set a default by going into Finder preferences and setting it there.
