I get most of my iMacs from local schools or recyclers. They are usually scratched up but a buffer and some plastic polish shines them up nicely. I am building 50 iMacQuariums right now. I am also making a do-it-yourself page for my website. I'll post it when it's finished but right now I'm just selling them to anyone who doesn't have the time or tools to build one themselves.

I would love to give anyone some tips and advice if they are trying to make their own.

I just took some more pictures of the one I have set up in my office.
They look very cool in the dark when the light illuminates the case and the tank. I have more pictures and you can buy one on my iMacquarium site www.jakeharms.com

Has anyone ever made an aquarium out of a 17 inch CRT Apple Cinnima Display?
I just got 3 that don't work and am going to try to make aquariums out of them to!

I just hope the stand is sturdy enough to hold all of the water weight.

Well it's about time to bring this thread back to life. I finally got the time to start building some more iMacquariums. So far I have about 30 iMacs stripped down in my garage. The tanks are in progress, and soon I'll be assembling them and polishing them up.
