I'm having a problem on my iPad iOS 8.1 2 with App Store updates/downloads unable to start/complete the operation. When I tap to update on the pending updates nothing happens and it's been like that from 20 January when the updates appeared.

Do the updates from iTunes and attach your iPad and then sync the updates. It's faster that way anyway.

Hi John,,,, - you might want to tell us which iPad you own and the remaining storage - the iOS 8.x upgrade requires nearly 5 GB of 'free' storage if done OTA (Over the Air), but much less if performed cabled to a computer using iTunes, as suggested by Chscag - Dave :)

Thanks for the replies guys. First off iPad 2 (A1395) 32gig, 17gig free.
Can't get access to my MBP and iTunes to download and sync as charger trips out when booting up MBP and battery is flat.
Looks like a trip to Apple Store. Thanks anyway.

Update: The latest iPad iOS 8.1.3 update has cured my problem and can now access and download latest updates. Looks like it was a known problem!
