Many folks buy extended warranties for peace of mind. Nothing wrong with that.

And John those old Hollywood six shooters had a range of up to two hundred yards! Bit different to any I ever used lol!

I never buy extended warranties for anything except on my Macs. On 2 MacBooks it paid for itself by far more than what I spent including a hard drive and a Retnia screen and one or 2 other hardware issues I do not remember. The only one is this 2013 Mac Air where the flash drive failed after the 3 years. But this flash drive was drop dead easy to repair and OWC builds great flash drives. So I fixed that in 30 minutes. But I added up the total of 3 laptops + extended Apple and I still saved money without needing any work on this MacAir.
