Wow, this question would have been a lot simpler to answer 10 years ago when AppleWorks was first discontinued!
Can you still open the db in AppleWorks on a vintage machine? If so, then you can easily export it in a standard format like XLS or comma-delimited etc and open it in Numbers.
If you don't have access to a vintage machine that can still run AppleWorks, you are probably out of luck. Older versions of iWork could open old AppleWorks files, not sure the new ones can. Again, the conversion to a standard format should have been done a looooooong time ago.
