This would be great for those folks who are diabetic. But it does make me wonder how an AW will be able to monitor blood sugar levels without actually taking a sample.

Seems to me it will have to work in coordination with another device?

I'm thinking the same thing. I know that the ability to taker blood pressure readings is dependent on another device. I assume the same would be true for monitoring blood sugar levels.
