Apple Macbook Pro 15''

So i'm using the 15-inch: 2.5GHz macbook (late 2013) & my graphics card is Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB on the mac. When i was playing Counter Strike yesterday my FPS was fine but when i logged on today, the fps fell below 20. So i was wonder if there is anyway to find out or determine whether my graphics card is spoilt or not. Thanks a lot for your replies I really appreciate all replies!

What was the FPS yesterday (just so we know)? Have you tried rebooting the computer…then trying to play again?

The FPS was around 150-230

Oh & i'm using a macbook air's charger instead of a macbook pro's charger because my pro's charger is spoilt right now & i have no time to change it. Does this have any effect on the graphic card?

Yeah, multiple times, i even went on my "windows" side & tried to play. Same thing happened, low fps.

It sounds like when your FPS was high, your rMBP 15" machine was using its discrete GPU not the Iris Pro. You do realize that your machine has two GPUs? Obviously, the discrete GPU is going to give you way better gaming results than the Iris Pro.

Is there any way to change the default GPU when i'm on the mac? Instead of using the Iris Pro can i change it to NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M?

Yes, there is. Download the free utility "gfxCardStatus" from here.

This *should* happen automatically when you're playing a game, but possibly the fact that you are using a lower-power charger not intended for your machine has a lot to do with this sudden change. I'd **strongly** recommend you get a new, legit MBP charger before you burn out that MBA charger.
