I made the stupid mistake of clicking on the wrong app, (wanted numbers and clicked key notes).
Feeling fed up I emailed apple store support and asked them if they could do anything, after all it was my mistake.
I explained my situation and that I'm just coming over from windows, within half an hour I had an email to say despite the terms and conditions they will make an exception for me and refund me the money.

That truly is customer service and far better then I ever had some microsoft. that also shows trust on their part. I won't ever use keynotes but still they don't really know that.

Thank you apple.

Ah, I see what you mean. You were on the Mac App Store and BOUGHT Keynote instead of Numbers. Right, okay, good on Apple then!

I'm sure you'll find Numbers very different to anything you encountered on Windows, but in its own way it's quite wonderful. The first spreadsheet program I have ever NOT wanted to throw out the window. :)

Just bear in mind that it is a "presentation" program first and spreadsheet program second -- by which I mean it can do all the basic (and then some) of your typical spreadsheet program, not quite as much as Excel's advanced functions but not many people care about that, but what it REALLY does is take boring spreadsheets and turn them into something a normal person will actually read and understand. THAT'S truly a miracle for people like me.

Yeah I was surprised to be honest and you can't even get that kind of help of microsoft when it is their fault.

Thats what I want numbers for really, just to do nice spread sheets for my personal use like my bills and income.

The OS on the mac just seems uncluttered like windows and windows now feels like its fat sister.
