My phone won't accept any further iOS updates.

I'm not too worried. My original concern was about having two phones with two SIM cards and one telephone number — how to get from the old to the new.

2021 M1 MacBook Pro 14" macOS 14.4.1, Mid 2010MacBook 13" iPhone 13 Pro max, iPad 6, Apple Watch SE.
I purchased my iPhone SE 20 from Apple online. As you would imagine it came unlocked. My old iPhone was a 7s and I used Ian's Method 2 in post #92 because Quick Start would not work for me. It takes a while because all of your apps have to download but it does work and i think will overcome any issues you may have with iPhone model and iOS compatibility.
I then sold my old iPhone 7s online to a great company called Mazuma but I think they are only here in Australia.
