Wondering if its possible to make the mac boot up with the boot menu by default? Normally one has to hold the option key down after you hear the gong and a little menu comes up with your available drives to boot into. Unfortunately I am using a logitech k380 bluetooth keyboard and for whatever reason if I don't hold down the option key in time or hold it for too long (really not sure what goes on but I have to restart the process 3-4 times sometimes). I have tried a wireless 2.4ghz usb keyboard and that has a similar issue. I suppose I could just go back to a wired keyboard.

Mac OS X Mojave and Windows 10 boot camp on a 2012 27" imac.

That has been the standard solution for years, but you could just leave one handy or available so that you could just plug it in when needed.

Sorry, I don't know over any other workaround. But maybe some other member does and will provide their suggestion.
But I guess you could always try using and setting your System Preference -> Startup disk before you reboot if that would do what you want it to do.

There is no a native Apple way of doing this short of hitting the Option key. But if you are able, you can install rEFInd which is a boot manager and that will always come up with a choice dialog on each boot and you can choose macOS, Windows or other OS' you've installed.

Before attempting to go down the rEFInd route, make sure you have a valid backup of all of your data just in case.
