Actually, they do. One company takes current event conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and translates them into gameplay. The company escapes me at the moment but they're out there. I think they appeared on the Colbert Report, idk.

I think it does exactly the opposite and makes you realise how bad WW2 was. Call of Duty is extremely realistic and imagining that you have to go through the whole game without taking a single bullet just brings home the horror.

I think realistic games are more of an education than a class in school or a memorial service.
