Animated gif for web

Hello all,
This may be covered somewhere but I haven't found it yet. I have to create an loop animation with 2 high quality photos that fade over each other. Pixel size of graphic is 720 x 500 at 72 dpi. It's for a web page so it needs to be a small file size. I've tried GifBuilder as well as Photoshop's (CS4) Animation option and Save for Web & Devices but my file size is in the 4-6MB range which is way too large. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to get it under 150-175k and keep the quality of the photo? Is it even possible?

Might want to look into an Application called Edge. It's free for now. It's an Adobe product. Very similar to flash, but easier to use.

Should watch the tutorials for it to get you started.

I could only get a picture down to 466k in photoshop using your pixel size.

can you share how you got there? I can't get below 4MB without seriously losing quality. Your picture look good.
