Alright, here's the deal.
I downloaded Soulseex which requires me to install x11.
Problem? yes, I lost the disc months ago. How can I get a new copy of X11 without the disc

You can't. You need the OS X Tiger install discs in order to get the X11 package for Tiger.

I'm guessing it's actually "freeware" according to Apple.

If you know someone with a tiger dvd and had them extract the x11 package for install that might work.

Or try the X11 1.0 download of Apple's site to see what it does for you. It says it's for 10.3-10.3.9 but what the heck right.

That most definitely won't work with 10.4.x.
There are literally dozens of threads here where folks have tried that and it simply won't work. The only way to get X11 installed on Tiger is to use a Tiger install disc.

Alrights thanks, thats what I thought.
If I brought my mac to the apple store and asked them to install it saying "I lost my OSX Tiger Disc", does anyone think they would have sympathy, or shun me out of the store for such tom foolery
