Alcohol Makes You Smarter?

i got this froma friend, don't know if its true, but it kinda makes sense........

a herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo. when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first.
this natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.
in much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.
excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.
in this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

i think the problem with it is that alcohol doesnt just kill the slow brain cells, that and every brain cell still counts even if it is slow

Yeah, this makes perfect sence logically.

Though, when your killing off these brain cells ('slow' or not), your loosing valuable synaptic connections. New Brain cells will grow in its place, but the synaptic connection will never be created again.

One brain cells the same as the next, what would make a brain cell 'slow' or 'weak' would be relavent to the Melyn Sheath.. which is the fatty substance covering each neurons axon, and alcohol only goes after the synaps as GABA i think...
