The Airport card is not compatible with either the new iBook or new PB. It will, however, work in an older (867MHz) 12" G4 PB.

I have an ibook g3 that i bought this summer and i have a 802.11b airport card and as far as i know, this card will work in all of apple's laptops. Check out apple.com

So a brand new iBook G4 has to use an Airport extreme card? Jus looking for 100% clarification before I spend the money.

It will not work in Apple's newer notebooks. All of the current machines are only compatible with Airport Extreme cards.

Thanks, guess it's back to the apple store, thought I might be able to pick one up cheap on ebay but the $99 from apple is just about the same (+/- $5.)
