Hello :) I finally have the airport card working in my Mac Pro the problem now is that it only connects in intervals. One minute it is connected with full strength an dthe next I have no bars at all. THe reason I am confused is no other computer in the house does this.
Is there anything that could cause this ???

Interference? Another wireless network operating nearby, cordless phones at home? Any other device operating in and around the 2.4 GHz range?

The MBP has a sturdy case, but the metal case can at times suppress wireless signal strength. Most of the time in areas where the signal is strong and there is no interference, it's not noticeable.

Try switching your wireless router to another channel.

BTW, the metal case has an advantage in that it provides better convection cooling for the machine.

Regards.
