AIM constant closing

i have the aim for mac and everyday it gives me problems at least 8-10 times a day. it closes on me or i have to restart aim....is it just me?

Not sure what could be causing it. You might want to give Adium (aol,yahoo,msn) a try.

Is this the real AIM application you are using or iChat with the AIM service?

AIM (The Application) on OSX is VERY buggy and often crashes. I refuse to use it on either OSX or Windows for that matter. If AIM is all you are after why not run iChat? Works great with AIM and is very stable. I keep it running 24 hours a day here and it's never let me down. If you need a Multi Chat client try Adium. Very good and stable Multi Chat client that supports AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, MSN and more.

I got AIM when I first got the computer and it'd constantly crash so I removed it and used iChat. However, I like the way Adium looks, so I use that now

Oh yeah, I dont think AIM cares too much about the Mac community, and I wouldn't expect the problem to be fixed anytime soon, it ever

Adium is great. It has the ability to connect with multiple chat clients and the interface is completely customizable. I would ditch AIM and go with Adium.
