Create a new document and then go to File-Save As and see where the default save area is, ie Desktop, Documents, et cetera. Whichever area shows up as the Target Save Area is where you should find those files. Whever you first open a document from if it is like a photo or something is automatically where it saves back to unless you specify otherwise.
