Hi all, an old dog needs to learn a new trick !!
On a Macbook Pro , 2013 , 10.13.6 High Sierra.
I get docs to quote on and need the quick way to add prices . At the moment I can only do it on the pdfs. Slow way is going to tools, annotate, text , drag it to the line, type price then start again for the next line...
Surely there's an easier way and how to do it on the slsx quotes?
Thanks

Sorry if I’m just ignorant here but what is a slsx file? Do you mean xls spreadsheet files?

Ok, have managed to convert doc to PDF. Comes out very small on my Mac desktop. Zoomed in till I could read it. Now how do I add text to it ? ( not one line at a time )

If you do this all the time, you should get Microsoft Office and use Excel. That is what created the xlsx files in the first place.

Sadly only about one quote a week that I print and hand write the prices in. Looks so crappy and cheap..

You can try opening the document in Numbers, it works with Excel. Just remember to export it to Excel format when you are done making the edits.

SoftMaker has a component of their Office Suite called Planmaker which says it can read the new Excel spreadsheet format. It's not a free program but is much cheaper than paying full price for Excel. There is a free trial.

If you need to work with pdf files, you might try something like this:
