Love it...simpicity iteslf. The only other file you need to trash is the *.plist file for the app in question. Doing a Sherlock finds all necessary files, then it's trasheroo!!

I think it's a sort of preference file for the app, but don't do a 'sherlock' for it, just type the app's name into your finder window's built-in search box and trash any files that turn up.

Although I think the .plist files are relatively tiny and don't slow down your mac so you could just leave them i suppose...

Speaking of the Bin, is there a key combo to circumvent the trashbin? Windows had Shift+ Delete.

Or download Xupport for free and change the system preferences so that when you delete something normally it just gets deleted permanently.

what about double installs?

what happens if you install a program twice... because you're... well... because you're dumb (haha)...
from what i could tell it just automatically replaces the other files... am i right?

I've done that before. I had a blonde moment and installed AppleWorks twice on my computer.

In the end, I think I just trashed one of the AppleWorks's. Then life was good again. :flower:
