i have a g4 firewire 800, and recently purchased a new 22in hd monitor, however it did not come with a cable that will convert the signal from my mac. does anyone know what cable i will need? or if im even looking in the right direction, im thinking an adc to vga the ports look right, but i'd like a second opinion before i purchase anything.

thanks in advance.

IM looking myself to add a second monitor to my G5. Will keep my eye on this thread. I would say Ebay is probably your best bet.

ADC to VGA adapters used to be easily available (years ago). While searching for an answer last night...I found a lot of sites with ADC to VGA adapters...but almost all of them were out of stock/not currently available.

If you do find an online store selling them they're very expensive ($50-$75 or more). Sometimes you can find them on e-Bay. I was watching one e-Bay auction a couple days ago where an ADC-VGA adapter sold for about $34.
