Have you considered that the senders email address..."[email protected]" probably has nothing to do with Apple??

Have you visited the webpage "frozenapple.com"?? It's not Apple!!

Besides what you've been told above, you're living in Australia and can not make purchases from the UK store anyway. It's a scam, a rather poor one, but a scam never the less.

There's been a lot of these scam emails going out. Whatever you do, DO NOT click on the link in the email and log in to their fake iTunes page!

It may well be followed by a 'please supply your account information including credit card details or your Apple account will be frozen.'

Just ignore. Then consider changing your email password.

Spam email.

They do not have any of your info except an email address they have purchased from someone.

No different than the: I have $62,000,000 here in Nigeria that your long lost uncle has left you and I will help you get it out of the country... scams.

Don't "click here", don't pass Go and don't get $200.
Delete it and forget you've ever seen it....
There is nothing else you need to do.

Thanks to all- yes I am aware that its nothing to do with Apple and checked my account to confirm the app allegedly purchased was not in fact charged for. Surprised to get any such stuff on a non-Windows system...

Unfortunately, OS X can't protect us from idiots getting hold of our email addresses.

It is an email scam. Thus, it has nothing to do with the workstation or OS you are using.

Hope you didn't click on any links in it - just delete it and be happy you have avoided being scammed :)

As already stated. This is an EMAIL PROBLEM…which is independent of the operating system of the computer (Mac OS, or Windows). It's an EMAIL thing.
