Ok guys, I have my new 5k in hand. My first plan of action before even turning the unit on is to upgrade the ram. After that.........not sure what to do. I would like to import my data from my PC ASAP, is this a good plan. Any advice is appreciated.

You can import data from your PC by using the Windows Migration Assistant provided by Apple. Read thru this Apple Support Page and download the Assistant.
