Here's a screenshot of it. The usual method for deleting unwanted voicemails doesn't work ! (It was rubbish anyway).

So anyone had that problem and got a solution ?

On what Apple device and model model and OS version is it using, where this persistent voicemail is being so persistent?

Maybe this solution would help if it's related to your problem:

iPhone 14 all software up to date
Your link Patrick, to the O2 community and a Doro 6880 phone suggests taking the battery out; haven’t tried that yet.

Here's another different suggestion that just might work and no battery removal needed:
Voicemail Notification Stuck - How to fix

With thanks to @Decoyaudio, please find the steps below to remove the Network Provider Voicemail notification when stuck.

You need to dial 901 and switch your notification method to SMS then switch it back again. The step by step insructions can be seen below... ↘️

More suggestions here if that doesn't fix it be the battery removal trick might be the final answer.

I no longer use any Apple iDevice and have no such experience with the feature.

Unfortunately the list of instructions (starting with Dial 901, press *, press 5 etc) didn't work. Here's what I said on the O2 forum;
'Thanks to Dave-O2 for the instructions; my voicemail from O2 was, and alas is, still stuck on my iPhone 14 (iOS 18.4.1) despite following them. However after executing, at least the blue dot on the voicemail screen has gone, as has the red dot on the home screen phone icon.

But the 'Network Provider Voicemail' text remains. All it is, is a list of computer Menu options, but nevertheless irritating.

Incidentally this voicemail message only appeared shortly after having renewed to an 18 month contract by phone; this seemed to trigger it.'

And several ideas from the Google Search link also prooved negative.

So how do I take the battery out ? Never done that. Don't see any easy way in; it's not the sim card compartment.

Thanks Bob; looks very comprehensive but I'm hesitating plunging into this for now.

Most cities in towns have many places that specialise in just replacing cell phone batteries for a small fee and have all the proper tools and techniques for doing so and any damage is normally covered just in case of mishap occurs. That would save you a lot of hassles for them to pop the battery out and do any resetting necessary and put it back together. Not even needing a new battery unless it's getting close to having one replaced.

Just a thought to get your phone back into normal working condition for just a few bucks. 😊

I'm about 30 mins drive from the Watford Apple shop so might use that as an excuse for a bit of retail therapy around the shops while they do it !

Thanks for your interest Patrick.

Thanks for your interest Patrick.

You are most welcome and that seems like a pretty posh Apple Store and a pretty posh Mall.

I'm sure they Apple check convicts your problem pretty quickly.

We don't have an Apple Store on Vancouver Island and the closest one is on the mainland which requires a fairly expensive Ferry trip if one takes one's car, but even relying on local Transit there is quite expensive and takes up most of the day to visit the store and return home on the same day.

Enjoy your stroll through the mall.
