Hello!
I've bought a Macbook Pro, and the question is: Can i connect to a network without "Airport"? Because I'm traveling with trains very often, so i would be nice to have internet in there. And when I'm with my friends that doesn't have an "Airport" router.

Please help me!

Yes it will usually connect to any WPA and if its encrypted and you have the password it will prompt you for it enter and your there you can also check remember networks its joined if you frequent that location. If its ethernet only buy a ethernet cable and attach it I carry a 12ft one in my bag.

Sure you can..."Airport" is just Apple's fancy term for "wireless networking". You can can network wirelessly with just about any wireless capable router.:)

Absolutely. The wireless networking would be pretty useless otherwise.

NightLight: Apple has decided to remove references to Airport in OS X to avoid confusion such as this. In Lion, it's simply referred to as "Wi-Fi." By the way, I've used Wi-Fi on the train before and it's great. It makes the train ride much more enjoyable.

The Airport Express/Extreme will work just fine but so will any other router. It's p to you if you want to keep it.

Depends if you bought an Express then you can send AirTunes to your hi-fi which I have not seen another do.
If you got the extreme then it has simultaneous radios and USB drive support for Time Machine something only a few can do in the same package.
