24"M3 iMac disappears in UPS facility in Las Vegas

My new 24" Gold iMac arrived at the UPS facility in Las Vegas on 06 November at 2:50 AM. Two more status updates that morning then nothing. Nothing on 07, 08, 09, and 10 November. Contacted Apple. Status now shown as Delayed. Apple notified me they canceled my previous order and am send ing me a new iMac. They will notify me when it ships.
Seems somebody stole my iMac Hope they use FEDEX next time.

This, unfortunately, is a common occurrence as the holidays approach. Good that Apple is sending you a new machine. If it's home delivery, know that you'll have to be home to sign for it.

For this reason, I end up shipping stuff to my local Apple Store and pick it up at my convenience.

Not a problem for me. I'm retired, but still confined to a walker. Waiting until my knee MR! 4 Dec. Maybe then they can surgically repair my knee so I can drive and just walk w/o assistance. Probably will need rehab. Pete

Sensible and sound idea, Ashwin. But for some of us - me for example - the nearest Store is 2 hours drive away; Manchester or Liverpool, both in England. We live in Wales.

Well in that case, be retired like the OP to sign for your packages.

There are 11 stores in my state and all about 2 of them are within 30 miles of my house. So I have my pick of which one to hit up.

Got my new 24" iMac yesterday via DHL Express ( came in a Penske van). Diagonal measurement is 23" for this 24" iMac. Looks very small next to my 27" iMac. Downloaded Libra Office so I could read all my .odt files. Funny thing is my word and WordPerfect files are also readable! Don't understand that, but glad that they seem to work. Currently downloading OS Sonoma 14.1.1.

The tech specs of the 24" iMac tells you that it's diagonal size is 23.5" and yes, it's way smaller than the 27" iMac for sure. But since Apple had the 21.5" and 27" iMacs before, they seem to have compromised in the middle and decided to kill both the 21.5" and 27" iMacs.
