2 GB RAM just arrived

Woohoo - using my MacBook with 2Gigs of RAM for the 1st time. It's made a pretty big difference to my performance with my default programmes loaded (Camino, Entourage, Parallels, iTunes, Messenger (in Windows under Coherece) and MS Money (also under coherence).

Usually this leaves me with about 20 MB of RAM free and lots of caching. Currently I have 200MB free and almost 800MB inactive and everything is silky smooth. The 2gigs cost $130 in total from Crucial (as opposed to Apple where it's $175 PER STICK!) It's a great upgrade.

Don't think too hard... RAM proces seem quite low online.

I just upgraded to 2GB last week, and I also agree that it is MUCH smoother, especially with Parallels running.

If anybody is on the fence on this issue, I would HIGHLY recommend upgrading to 2GB. It's a great investment on an already amazing product :black:

I just did exactly the same thing, so I can run Wndows 2000 and NeoOffice together for my studies. And kudos to Crucial, too, I've been buying from them for years and their service is excellent.

I've just ordered 2GB of RAM from Crucial, the price has dropped a lot over the last week. I checked the price 2 days ago and it was £82, today I paid £70!! I want to start using Adobe CS3 so 2GB should come in handy

My 2GB Kingstons are on its way. I'm running on 1GB now. Can't wait.
