62 year old mother - parents dead before the child is 10 or 12. It's a good possibility.

13or 12 year old parents - the parents still children themselves will have to be at school and they will not get to be with the child during it's formative years and teach it what it needs to know. And most times it's the 12 year old's parents (the grandmother) stuck with the responsibility. So the 12 year old can not do it's parenting responsibilities and the child suffers.

I think both examples are equally bad as each other.

Truly pathetic. Children having children! I still think you should need a license to have a child.

I could not agree more! Between stuff like this and children with abusive parents who don't deserve them, I think it would make for better childhoods.

Yes a license with specific rules that are needed to be able to retain this license. So if these rules are broken, then the child is taken away from the irresponsible parent.

I think that is going a bit far yet somehow I almost agree with it.

All of these kids parents need to examine their lives and their values and figure out what the heck is going on, both with their kids AND themselves. They need to be parents, they need to be responsible and they need to not be worried about being the "good guy", the kids "friend" or anything other than being a good parent. If that means disciplining the kid(s) when needed then they need to do it and stop turning a blind eye to what their kids are doing.

Alfie was not the father, after having tests they found out it was another 15 year old boy.

So that makes the whole thing any less worse?

I'm surprised that someone did say that sooner. Yeah it's not exactly any better, but 15 is better than being 13. At least being a 15 year old you can get a job.

Interesting topic since Father's day is around the corner.

It takes a lot of work to be a Father, too bad there are so many crummy ones. Which makes single moms almost the norm now.

It takes a lot of work to be a parent, period. That, sadly, is the problem with all of this. To many parents, or shall I say "adults with children" don't want to be bothered with burden of responsibility and simply just don't care to know what is going on with their kids.

Well said. Some people really do deserve to be called nothing more than adults with children. In fact, in many cases, they don't even deserved to be called that. Something like "adult who neglects taking responsibility for their own actions" is more appropriate for some adults.
