I decided to clean out some old folders in my Yahoo account.
Instead of deleting the content of each folder, I transferred it to the inbox.
Then I deleted the folders.
Everything is fine when using my computer (iMac) to access the mail account.
When accessing the mail account from the iPhone, things are different.
I see the most recent emails but then it shows me emails from 2010, the ones I recently transferred to the inbox.
I've deleted the account on the iPhone and then re-established it, thinking that the new imports would reflect what I see on the computer but the problem persists.
It appears as if the old emails acquired a new time stamp and are sorting to near the top of the display.
I welcome any suggestion as to how to remedy this problem.
