i fly like once a year or so, ive NEVER had an issue. i usually wear shorts or sweats and gym shoes. i havent checked anything in years, always carryons, my bag and my computerbag. i grab 2 trays, powerbook in one, shoes, cashless wallet and phone in the other. walk on thru the medal detector and away i go. not a big deal. i know what i can and cant take with, if i cant take thru then what a concept i dont bring it. its common sense and apparently no one has any.

Oh yeah, I thought about that. I'd just send it down the belt in the bag and not worry about it. If they said anything, I'd tell them what it was. If they hassled me, I'd pull it out quickly and show them and end the discussion. But yes, definitely some irony.
