Hi and welcome to the forum.
If you want to get the image into iPhoto all you need to do is Click and Drag it into iPhoto and i dare say iMovie (i havnt used iMovie for a while)
And about saving. You have taken the screenshot and its on your Desktop, it is already saved to that place. If you want to move it into a Finder Folder just Click and Drag it there.
