Wouldn't Apple have taken down the "Leopard preview" on the site if it were being scrapped?

Not everyone knows yet... just a select few.

Just kidding... it's a joke.

A friend of mine works for Apple in Cupertino.

The entire Leopard project has been scrapped and a new OS won't be released for a few years.

apple should update their website then

It's a joke, a parody of the rumors sites.

All signs point to Leopard still being a few months based on the current developer's seeds. No one but Apple knows for sure, but seeing as that site is posting screen shots, I'm willing to bet they are actually playing with the most recent update and it appears to still be in the add-features stage. So, not being in release-candidate phase (where they typically stop adding features), it will likely be at least a few months.

As part of the cancelation of Leopard, Apple has also had the word "gullible" removed from all electronic dictionaries on the internet.

Funny... harsh, but funny nonetheless. :bone:

iWork07 has also been indefinitely postponed. It will be replaced by iSlack07 and MS Office Still-A-Generation-Behind for Mac.

I'm soooo close to just buying iWork 06 but I'm afraid the 07 will be much better and then I'll regret it :(

I played with iWork06 during my free trial period. I hate to say it, but I found it less capable than its Office competition. I'm sure part of that is just decade+ familiarity with Office but Office is a standard that's hard to work around in a business setting.

True. I was tired of using office and I don't need all the mumbo jumbo it comes with. iWork is simple and that's what I like. ;)
