I use a damp piece of paper. It works great and it's cheap. Thats what the instruct on doing in the my ibook's manual.

For the outside of my iBook i use a mr clean magic eraser. Be careful with it though, its actually a micro abrasive and too much use in one spot could cause it to look scuffed.

For the screen, damp paper towel.

got a problem.... ive had my iBook for about 4 or 5 months, and its showing some serious signs of use where my hands rest just below the keyboard. ive tried using rubbing alcohol and its still there. im not really sure what else to try. is it to late to get this crap off my iBook? if it is, i purchased apple care... is something like this covered?

Don't use alcohol. It is considered a [flammable] solvent and the screen is polymer-based. Don't use anything ammonia-based either. Use only diluted, water-based cleaning agents.

What's wrong with posting in a thread that already has good suggestions in it?

Now there are two threads active with the same topic.
