Just recently got myself a D90 with the 18-105 kit lens. I'm lovin' it so far!
Got a lot to learn but I do now find that when I go back to use my super-zoom (Kodak z612) it just feels so toy like!
I'm enjoying trying a few new things and already really want to consider a new lens (or 2). I did think it would take a while for me to out-grow the kit lens.
Maybe I'm trying to run before being able to walk......
Prob a dumb question, but how are you liking the MKII? I bet the output is amazing. I had the MKI and it produced some of my favorite images. I also loved some of the lenses I had with it. Especially the 35L, 135L, and 70-200F4IS.
I started Nikon years ago and tried Canon for about two months. Couldn't break my old habits, so I'm back shooting a D700. My favorites now are the Sigma 50 1.4 and 105DC F2.
2 D2x's, 1 D3, and a load of lenses, flashes, bags.....
Funny the D3 is a killer camera much better than the D2x, but I shoot so much motor sports where you just cant get close enough I like the "crop factor of DX" and have not really used the 3 much
. The 75_300IS is good but can i get better was looking at the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM or this one EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM

The 100-400L would definitely be an upgrade...It depends if you have the $$$$. That lense is $1700-1800 Cdn !!!
Try and avoid excess focal length ranges in lenses at all cost because chances are, they aren't worth the money you're going to cop out for it.I was thinking about the other one 28-300L my max would be $2000 i would spend, But have been looking at S/H as well but would prefer new...
Thanks for the replys will wait and see whats avaliable when i purchase which is hopefully next few weeks....
I use a Panasonic DMC-FZ8. Purchased it Summer 2007.
Really nice to use: 7MP, RAW Mode, Full Manual mode etc, excellent 12x Optical Zoom and I like how if you set it to 3MP you get 18x optical zoom.
