I have a question about the Insignia 4 port hub. I'm informed that I could plug hub into hub and go on until I have 127 USB ports. Is this correct?

Your post was moved from a very old thread to thread unto itself.

If the USB hubs are all powered, then theoretically you can chain a whole bunch together to get to the limit, but the reality is way less than that.

You need the absolute latest USB controller and the latest version of OS (Windows, Mac and Linux) and you might be able to get to around 40-50 devices before things just start misbehaving.

It's likely more practical to use up to a dozen devices and beyond that is a hard to know.

Add to Ashwin's thoughts that eventually all of those devices hit the one or two USB ports on the Mac and the performance of all those devices is likely to be much below optimum. The all eventually have to share the bandwidth of the Mac port itself.
