Hi, I have several devices that connect to my Mac via usb, CD/DVD, scanner, Ex HD, camera, key board, etc...

I plan to buy a new MacBook Pro and see it has adrift rent usb, usb 3.

Do I need an adaptor or can I just plug and play?

Thank you

USB 3 is backward compatible with USB 2 devices. There is a difference in the type of connecter that is used for the USB 3 male end, however, the female end is the same as USB 2.

There shouldn't be a problem. The devices won't connect at USB 3 speed unless they actually support it.
