Trying to format a new Hard Drive

I would because due to the Intel Macs with EFI Firmware there are now different ways the drive is partitioned and for an iMac G5 Power PC it needs to be set for Apple Partition Map. You can do that if you follow what I said a few posts ago from the partition tab. Let us know what happens.

Can't find the option for Partition Map?? I have the option to chose volume scheme (1 partition), Format ( set at Mac Os Extended (journaled)) and that's it!

Glad to hear it. What I was going to ask is what version of OSX you have installed? I was thinking 10.5 Leopard and that is what I gave you the instructions for.
