Why does it keep accepting the connection from that device and what to do about it?

Side question: how can I identify this device?

What device are you talking about? There are three listed in the posting. Are you having any issues that led you to look at the log? What Mac, what version of macOS? What Time Capsule?

Thank you for replying.

The issue I'm having has to do with my chromecast that keeps disconnecting from the WiFi so I started to look around in the router settings. The Time Capsule is the latest version.

The device I'm talking about is the one that starts with fe80 and is accepted to connect multiple times.

The chromecast disconnects are probably not associated with that activity. How far is the chromecast from the router and what objects are in the way (walls, floors, furniture, etc)?

Oh ok that's good to know.

The cc is about 2m away from the router and there is only a TV between them. The Time Capsule is in bridge mode (because its connected to the router downstairs in my apartment via LAN). The problem only persists this year and was not happening 2 years ago.

It could be that there are many more devices in apartments near you (sides, above, below) that are all transmitting on the same WiFi channels as your TC. You can option-click on the wifi "fan" icon on the top bar and then create a network diagnostic report (Takes a while to run) and then look to see what's going on in your network. You may need to move your TC to a different channel if there is too much traffic on the channel(s) it is using now.

I have done that already. I also tried forcing the cc on either the 2.4 or the 5GHz but the problem still occurs.

Maybe it's dying and time for it to be replaced? I retired my Airport (same WiFi hardware) a couple of years ago.

I honestly don't know it anymore... I spent so much time looking up possible solutions to my problem but none of them seem to work. The TC itself should be fine because I get around 300 mbps via LAN and around 270 mpbs via WiFi on all my devices.
