Thunderbolt Monitor issue

I have two thunderbolt monitors daisy-chained to my 2019 16" MBP via one of the ports. The OS is up to date. Every now and then one of the monitors goes black. I can solve this by unplugging them from the MBP and plugging back in but it's super annoying. This issue only started occurring when I switched to the new MBP in December. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

What is "eOS?" That may be of some help to understand the problem.

How are you daisy chaining the monitors and which cables are you using? It sounds like one of your monitors is losing its signal and therefore goes black.

Off hand, I suggest checking the cabling and connectors. Your 16" MBP should certainly be able to drive two monitors consistently.

Is the monitor that goes black, the second monitor in the chain? Can you change their positioning and it still happens?

Yes I did try that so I surmise it is an issue with that particular monitor
