Yes you were. "The fact that I have to chide you guys about this does not speak well of you guys. You should know better."
Listen, it's nice of you to make a thread with advice about buying a notebook. Thanks for educating people about the subject. But there's no need to tell us that we should know better than to talk about NTFS.
Dude, you live in New Mexico. Let's not go there.
If you read the whole thread...yeah ...you were getting chided for .... :::sigh::: I give up. Your right. Im wrong.
Whatever.
And what woudl you know about NM? Whats that? Nothing? I've lived in LA so I know Petuluma people. Dont act like you dont know ... you know.
What is it about new mexico? Please I want to know seeing as I just moved here from Portland.
Look let me end this right here. I made the thread to help. Your attitude came in with the whole NTFS thing. You've been misreading my words since the first post. Your attitude about it is clear.
RTFM (for those that dont know thats Read the Fracking Manual) and just STFU if you have problems along the way. That was clearly your attitude about the whole thing. I can quote you if you like.
My point was, you guys can tell people all day long you used NTFS, but you should KNOW that when you talk to average people, to tell them, look you can read NTFS, but you cant write to it, and thats a big difference. Why should you tell someone that? Why wouldnt you? If they're going to want to look at that drive, clearly the temptation is going to be there to write to it as well. Do I have to spell that out for you? Its about common courtesy to someone who might not know as much as you. Does it really bother you to have to tell someone that?
Yeah, now I AM talking about you. WHats with that anyways? RTFM and STFU. Nice. Real nice. I dont have a problem with NTFS. Its great. But you know, or should know from being in this forum.. how many times have you told people, use the search function? You should know from that that no matter how many times you say it someone will ask. And when they ask, what does that tell you? That people will always want to know....
Look, you clearly dont have the interpersonal social skills so I'm going to just block you from here on out. I'm not really interested in anything you have to say because clearly you want it your way, thats it, and there is no other, and if someone does bring up the other, how dare them say you're wrong. And so I'm clear, I never said you were wrong, or anyone else for that matter. All I did was point out that NTFS is not writtable in OS X. I never slammed anyone for using it. Just for them leaving out the glaring obvious fact that it cant be written to. That was my beef. If you leave it out, you're lying by ommission.
Jesus, please stop it, you're making yourself look bad.
