text edit question.

2015 Retina 4K iMac. Monterey. 8GB RAM. Crucial 500GB external SSD
in textedit, if I type the word addy…. it fills in my name and address. how do I edit or remove this? thanks

That isn't a TextEdit functionality, you might have a text expanding software installed or have it manually defined in Sys Prefs->Keyboards, Text tab.

A software like TextExpander allows you to define custom shortcuts to fill in all sorts of data. This is a generic tool, there's also tools that are specific to developers and so on.

If you were running a generic tool, you could type 'addy' anyplace and have it be replaced with your name and address.

yes it was in keyboard of system settings like you said. thanks :)
