hi
i am converting my DVDs to M4Vs so that i can have a movie library in iTunes. whilst i am happy with the quality of the compressed movie (i am using handbrake AVC/H.264/AAC codecs), i am disappointed with the lack of ability to fast forward and rewind smoothly using the iTunes controls. Scanning is smoother in Quicktime, though it is slow (yes, i am aware of the jog shuttle feature). I am used to the scanning in DVD Player where you can set the scan rate to fast and the scanning is smooth.
Is there any way of improving the scanning in iTunes or Quicktime for M4V/MP4 files?
thanks
nick
