Quick question. Is anyone using this external hard drive? http://www.seagate.com/consumer/backup/backup-plus-desk/?sku=STDT8000300
Is there any advantage to the front USB Hub? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The advantage to the front USB hub is self explanatory, do you need a USB 3 hub? You did not specify with what device(s) this was going to be used with. A single computer, desktop or laptop, or for a network, if it will be used only for backup or extra storage?

My apologies ... I will use the drive as my time machine back up only on my iMac.
