I have MacBook Pro 2.4 Ghz with 4 gb (2x2) RAM. My second slot for RAM is giving trouble: RAM jumps out from it without getting fit properly. What should I do? Secondly, Can I use one 4g RAM in the first working slot in place of two 2 gb RAMs?
I agree. If your MBP is still under warranty have it repaired. A bad memory slot means a new logic board which is an expensive repair. As far as using one 4 GB module, yes it's possible but not recommended. You lose dual channel paging and operation that way.
